1. Investors can choose QFI channel to invest in:
- China Capital Market;
- China Inter-bank Bond Market directly or ;
- the over-the-counter bond scheme solely provided by CCB.
Qualified Foreign Investor (QFI) Scheme is an arrangement that allows institutional investors who meet certain qualification to invest in a wide scope of securities products.
2. The China Inter-Bank Bond Market scheme (CIBM) is a major milestone on China's ongoing journey to open up its financial markets to the world. Since 2016, qualified foreign registered Financial Institutions such as Commercial Banks, Insurance Companies, Securities Firms, Fund Management and other Asset Management Companies are allowed to invest directly into China Inter-Bank Bond Market through this CIBM scheme.
3. Alternatively, China Construction Bank Head Office provides an over-the-counter bond trading scheme, which allows more convenient cash settlement outside of China with low cost.
